Dhaka: Five Eid jamaats (congregations) will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, as per an announcement by an Islamic Foundation press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the first Eid jamaat is scheduled for 7am. The subsequent congregations will occur at 8am, 9am, and 10am, with the final jamaat planned for 10:45am. Baitul Mukarram National Mosque’s Pesh Imam Hafez Mufti Maulana Muhibbullahil Baki is set to lead the first congregation, while senior Pesh Imam Hafez Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman will lead the second.
The third Eid jamaat will be conducted by Islamic Foundation Muhaddis Dr Maulana Mufti Waliur Rahman Khan. Islamic Foundation’s Dr Mushtaq Ahmed will oversee the fourth congregation. The fifth and concluding Eid jamaat will be led by Islamic Foundation Mufti Md Abdullah.
In the event of any imam being unable to conduct their assigned Eid jamaat, Islamic Foundation deputy director Maulana Md Jakir Hossain is designated to step in and lead the congregation.
