Bidhan Calls for Quality Education to Address Social Inequality

Mymensingh: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder today emphasized the need for ensuring quality education as a means to eliminate social inequality. Addressing a meeting at the Advocate Tarek Smriti Auditorium at Town Hall in Mymensingh district, Dr. Bidhan highlighted the pivotal role that quality education plays in bridging social disparities.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Bidhan engaged in discussions with various stakeholders from the Mymensingh district on strategies to enhance the quality of primary education. The meeting was chaired by Divisional Commissioner Md Mokhtar Ahmed and saw attendance from prominent figures such as Abu Nur Mohammad Shamsuzzaman, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, Farid Ahmed, Director General of the National Academy of Primary Education, and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Director (Policy and Operations) of the Directorate of Primary Education.



During the meeting, Adviser Bidhan underscored the importance of teaching students their mother language effectively. He noted that proficiency in one’s mother tongue would facilitate the learning of foreign languages, including English. He stressed the responsibility of teachers in improving the quality of education, indicating that numerous issues could be addressed through educational enhancement.



Dr. Bidhan concluded by encouraging initiatives across various sectors to collectively uplift the quality of primary education, thereby contributing to the reduction of social inequality.
