BRTC to Launch ‘Eid Special Services’ with 1,245 Buses

Dhaka: The state-owned Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) is set to provide ‘Eid Special Services’ featuring 1,245 buses. The initiative, aimed at facilitating smooth travel for homebound passengers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival, will commence on March 25.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BRTC has begun the sale of advance bus tickets from its depots in the capital. Passengers will also have the opportunity to purchase return tickets post-Eid from any BRTC depot. Mustakim Bhuiyan, BRTC Public Relation Officer, stated that 775 buses have been prepared for deployment from Dhaka under a special arrangement, while an additional 470 buses will operate outside the capital.



In a previous media statement, BRTC announced that the ‘Eid Special Services’ will continue until April 5. The BRTC Operations Department has made advance tickets available at several bus depots, including Motijheel, Joarsahara, Kalyanpur, Gabtoli, Mohammadpur, Mirpur, Jatrabari, Gazipur, and Narayanganj.
