Habiganj: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an accused in the Tajul Islam murder case from Bahubal upazila of the district last night. The arrest was made following a raid carried out by the elite force.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individual was identified as Maruf Mia, 37, son of Abdul Khalek, from Dakshin Daulatpur village of the upazila. The operation was conducted based on a tip-off received by RAB. A team from the Shayestaganj camp executed the raid in the Karangi Bridge area at around 10:30 pm, successfully apprehending Maruf.
Following the arrest, Maruf was handed over to the Bahubal Thana police for further legal proceedings. This arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation of the Tajul Islam murder case.
