Gazipur: Three people, including a woman, were killed and another was injured when a truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Mauna-Phulbaria road at Namashulai under Kaliakair upazila of the district today. One of the deceased was identified as CNG driver Obaidul. The identities of the two deceased could not be known immediately.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place around 10 am when a brick-laden truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving its driver and two passengers dead on the spot and injuring another, said Kamrul Hasan, sub-inspector (SI) of Kaliakair Thana. The wounded was rushed to Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex, the SI added.
