BSF Hands Over Body of Bangladeshi Killed on Sylhet Frontier

Sylhet: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over the body of a Bangladeshi youth who was killed in an attack by Khasia people in India when he illegally entered that country through the Kanaighat border early Friday. The victim has been identified as Shahed Ahmed, the son of Moshahid Ali from Mangalpur village in Kanaighat upazila, as confirmed by Kanaighat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abu Sayem.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after a flag meeting between the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and BSF in the Barachhara area near the Bangladesh-India border, the BSF personnel handed over the bullet-hit body of Shahed to the BGB. The OC further stated that the body would be handed over to the family following legal procedures.
