Dhaka: The election schedule for the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) for the 2025-2027 term has been announced. The election will determine the 35 directors of the Association and is set to take place on May 28, 2025.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the schedule outlines several key dates leading up to the election. Members must pay their due subscription fees by March 29, 2025. The deadline for submitting voters’ nomination papers is set for April 6, 2025. Candidates aspiring to become directors can submit their nomination papers until April 24, 2025. Additionally, the last date for withdrawing nomination papers is May 6, 2025, as stated in a BGMEA press release.
BGMEA members have been advised to reach out to the election board secretary, Director of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Mahmudul Hasan, for any election-related inquiries.
