Dhaka: The month-long Islamic Book Fair is currently taking place at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque premises, having started on Saturday. The Islamic Foundation organized the event in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, as announced in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on Saturday afternoon. After the inauguration, the adviser toured various stalls set up on the fair premises.
The fair welcomes the public daily from 12 noon to 8 pm and features a total of 64 stalls. Attendees have access to a wide range of basic and research books on different subjects of Islam, including translations of the Holy Quran, Tafsir, and Hadith books. Additionally, the Islamic Foundation’s stall is offering a 35 percent commission on all books.
