Dhaka: A total of 44 lawyers have been registered as senior lawyers for conducting cases at the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. A notice, signed by Appellate Division registrar Muhammad Hasanuzzaman, was published on the website of the apex court today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the enrolment committee, chaired by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed, was reconstituted with Appellate Division Justice M Ashfaqul Islam, Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury, Justice M Rezaul Haque, and Justice SM Emdadul Haque. The committee made the decision to enroll the 44 lawyers as senior lawyers of the Appellate Division based on the individual opinions of each member during its meeting on February 24.
