Sajek Valley: A massive fire that broke out at several resorts in the Sajek Valley, a popular tourist spot in the Khagrachhari district, was brought under control this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fire originated around 1:05 pm and was controlled by 4:33 pm. The Fire Service and Civil Defence reported that upon receiving information, several firefighting engines arrived at the scene around 2:40 pm. The fire was controlled after nearly two hours of intense efforts.
The Fire Service noted that reaching the site was challenging due to the remote location, compounded by a shortage of water at the scene.
