Bangladesh Women’s Football Team Set to Depart for UAE Friendly Matches

Abu Dhabi: The new-look Bangladesh women's national football team is scheduled to leave for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) early tomorrow at 2:55 a.m. to participate in two friendly matches against the host nation.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh women's football team will compete in the FIFA Women's International Friendly Football match on February 26, with the second match taking place on March 2. This series of matches is an opportunity for the team to showcase their skills on an international platform.

The squad for the tour includes players such as Mst Yearzan Begum, Mile Akter, Meghla Rani Roy, and team captain Afeida Khandakar, among others. The team's officials comprise head coach Peter James Butler, team manager Mahmuda Akter, and several assistant coaches and support staff, including a media officer and physiotherapist.

This tour marks an important event for the Bangladesh women's team as they aim to gain valuable experience and exposure in international football through these friendly matches in the UAE.
