DCCI Mourns the Death of Former President ATM Waziullah

Dhaka: ATM Waziullah, aged 87, a former president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), passed away at the United Hospital in Dhaka due to complications related to old age. DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed and the board of directors have expressed their deepest condolences and extended profound sympathy to his bereaved family, as stated in a press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, ATM Waziullah served as the President of DCCI in 1993. He leaves behind a son, two daughters, and several well-wishers mourning his departure. Known as a renowned entrepreneur, Waziullah was the Chairman of Kobeda Group of Companies, which has been engaged in manufacturing and indenting business for a long time.



Waziullah also served as the President of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) from 2010 to 2012. During his presidency at DCCI, he played a significant role in developing the trade and investment ecosystem in the country.



His funeral prayer, namaz-e-janaza, will be held on Friday at the Uttara Sector-4 Jame Mosque, Road-8 (behind International Hope School) after Asr Prayer. He will be laid to rest at the Banani graveyard.
