Kumarkhali: Police arrested three robbers with weapons from the Kalurmor area under Kumarkhali upazila here last night. The arrestees are SM Suman, 35, son of Ahid, Tazem Ali, 38, son of Kashem Ali of Bajruk Bakhoi village, and Faisal Hossain, 19, son of Jiku Pramanik of Bakhoi Mohbbot village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting on a tip-off, a team from Kumarkhali Police Station conducted a raid in the specified area and apprehended the suspects with country-made weapons while they were preparing for a robbery. The operation was executed successfully, preventing a potential crime in the community.
The arrested individuals were produced before the court today, where the court subsequently ordered their detention in jail. During initial interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in robbery, which has provided crucial leads for ongoing investigations into similar incidents in the region.
