Lakshmipur: A man was killed as a tractor hit him at Karoitala Bazar under Kamalnagar upazila of the district this noon. The deceased was M Miraj Hossain, 22, son of Azad Uddin, a resident of Luthua village under Charfalkon union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Miraj Hossain died on the spot when a tractor hit him on the Lakshmipur-Ramgati road at 12 noon. Touhidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar police station, confirmed the incident.
Police have seized the tractor involved in the accident, but the driver managed to flee the scene. A case has been filed with the Kamalnagar police station regarding the incident.
