Narayanganj: Two motorbike riders were killed and another was injured in a road accident on Adamji-Shimrail road in Siddhirganj of the district today. The deceased were identified as Shuvo, 22, son of Abdus Sattar of Maniraj village of Bhola district, and Emon, 21, son of Parvez of Bakagora village under Jhinaigazi upazila of Sherpur district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic accident occurred when the motorbike rider lost control and collided head-on with a truck, resulting in the immediate death of two riders and injuring another. The local police have taken swift action by arresting the truck driver, Anwar Hossain, 53, and impounding the vehicle involved in the crash.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Narayangonj General Hospital for autopsy, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
