Dhaka: The government has exempted 826 members of the families of martyrs from the July-August uprising from providing proof of filing income tax returns when purchasing savings certificates using the government assistance money.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) made this decision in accordance with Section 264, Sub-Section (4) of the Income Tax Act 2023. The Tax Policy wing of the NBR issued an official order to confirm this exemption.
