CHITTAGONG: The Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has recovered the body of Osman Sikder, an office assistant at the civil aviation authority, from the Patenga link road area of the city. Sikder's body, found this morning, bore marks of injuries, suggesting foul play, according to law enforcement officials. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Emran Sikder, Osman's younger brother and General Secretary of Hathazari Upazila Hefazat-e-Islam, alleged that his brother was murdered due to a previous enmity. Emran reported that a group of miscreants abducted Osman from his residence around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, raising concerns about targeted violence. Roish Uddin, Deputy Commissioner of Crime for the CMP, confirmed that the body has been sent to the morgue of Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The police are in the process of filing a case as part of their ongoing investigation into the incident.
