Kings Face Brothers Union as Fed Cup Begins Tomorrow.

Cumilla: Defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on Brothers Union Club in one of the opening day's fixtures of the Bashundhara Group Federation Cup football that begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at Shaheed Dhirendranath Daatta Stadium in Cumilla. The match kicks off at 2.30 pm. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the day's other opening match, Bangladesh Police Football Club will meet Fortis Football Club at 2.30 pm at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh. Ten premier division league clubs, split into two groups, will initially participate in the first phase of the Federation Cup Football on a single league basis across three venues in Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Cumilla. As the tournament progresses, the top two teams from each group will advance to the next round, which includes qualification and elimination phases, following a format similar to that of the Bangladesh Premier League Cricket. The teams have been divided into two groups for the initial phase. Group A includes Bashundhara Kings, Bangla desh Police Football Club, Fortis Football Club, Brothers Union Club, and Dhaka Wanderers Club, while Group B comprises Mohammedan SC Ltd, Dhaka Abahani Ltd, Chattogram Abahani Ltd, Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society, and Fakirerpool Youngmen's Club.
