Kushtia: Professor Dr. M Yeaqub Ali of the Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department and Professor Dr. Jahangir Alam of the Economics department have been respectively appointed as the pro vice-chancellor and treasurer of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, President Mohammed Shahabuddin, who serves as the chancellor of the university, made these appointments on Monday. The appointments were formalized through separate gazettes, which were signed by Shahinoor Islam, the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Education.
