Munshiganj: Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society kicked off their Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) campaign with a decisive 3-1 victory against Fortis Football Club at the Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium on Saturday. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the match saw Rahmatganj's Ghanaian midfielder Mamoud Oshie, defender Md Taj Uddin, and Ghanaian forward Felix Tetteh each find the back of the net, while Fortis's defender Monjurur Rahman Manik scored their sole goal. The first half ended goalless, but Mamoud Oshie broke the deadlock in the 59th minute. Taj Uddin doubled Rahmatganj's advantage in the 67th minute, and Felix Tetteh extended the lead further just two minutes later. Monjurur Rahman Manik managed to score for Fortis in the 74th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome. Rahmatganj, a traditional team from old Dhaka, dominated the proceedings and secured a well-deserved victory. Fortis, on the other hand, struggled to make an impact beyond the ir solitary goal in the second half. Looking ahead, Rahmatganj is set to face Chittagong Abahani Limited on December 6 at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium, while Fortis will confront Brothers Union Club on December 7 at Bashundhara Kings Arena.
