Rangpur: Ganosamhati Andolon Chief Coordinator Junaid Saki has alleged that Awami League (AL) associates are attempting to create instability and communal riots by infiltrating ISKCON and attacking various places under its banner. 'At the same time, ousted former Prime Minister fascist Sheikh Hasina is now engaging in deep conspiracies against Bangladesh by fleeing to India after catching feet of foreigners,' he stated while addressing a public dialogue at the Public Library Ground in Rangpur city this afternoon. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the dialogue was organized by the Rangpur district unit of Ganosamhati Andolon with the slogan 'Change is possible, change is wanted.' Leaders and activists from all eight district-level units of the Rangpur division participated in the event, aiming to establish a new political settlement and build a democratic state free from discrimination. The event was presided over by Ganosamhati Andolon Rangpur district Convener Touhidur Rahman, with central leader a nd labor leader Bachchu Bhuiyan and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Farmers' and Workers' Solidarity Movement Abdul Alim also addressing the gathering. In his speech, Junaid Saki emphasized the importance of confronting domestic and foreign conspiracies while advocating for a new political settlement in the country. Saki argued that a new political settlement and constitution are essential to establish democracy in Bangladesh. He also stressed the need to conduct elections through a democratic process. Additionally, Saki paid homage to Shaheed Abu Sayeed, a celebrated figure from Rangpur, acknowledging his sacrifice in breaking the reign of fear and terror, and demanded justice for all murders committed during the Awami regime. Saki urged the youth to come forward to build political power in the country and reiterated his call for unity among everyone, including students and the general populace, to ensure that the anticipated mass uprising in 2024 will not be defeated.
