Lalmonirhat: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today arrested a man with 361 bottles of intoxicating syrup from Kaliganj upazila frontier area of the district early this morning. The arrested individual was Fazar Ali, 35, son of Azahar Ali, hailing from the Dulali area of Kaliganj upazila, as stated in a BGB release issued today. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest followed a tip-off received by the authorities. A patrol team from BGB-15 Battalion swiftly conducted a drive in the Dulali Point area, leading to Fazar Ali's apprehension with the intoxicating syrup at around 4:30 am. Major M Asiful Islam Siddiqui, the acting commander of BGB-15 Battalion, confirmed the details of the operation.
