Muscat: After a convincing victory over host Oman, the spirited Bangladesh national U-21 hockey team is set to face a strong Pakistan side in their second Pool B match of the Men's Junior Asia Cup scheduled to be held tomorrow at Hockey Oman Stadium in Muscat, Oman. The match is slated to kick off at 1845 pm Bangladesh time. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh made a winning start in the tournament by defeating Oman with a 3-1 scoreline in their Pool B opening match held on Tuesday. This victory has set a positive tone for the team as they progress in the tournament. Bangladesh will continue their group stage journey with remaining matches against Malaysia and China, scheduled for November 30 and December 1, respectively, at the same venue. The eleventh edition of the Junior Asia Cup, which will continue until December 4, features ten teams divided into two groups. The top six teams from this tournament will earn qualification for next year's Hockey Junior World Cup. Bangladesh's junior ho ckey team secured their spot in the Junior Asia Cup by emerging as champions in the qualifiers, achieving a thrilling 7-6 victory over hosts Oman in the final held in January.
