Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman participated in the Armed Forces Day events held at Senakunja. During the event, Dr Rahman took the opportunity to exchange pleasantries with BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, as mentioned in a press release. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, several notable figures from the Jamaat-e-Islami were in attendance alongside Dr Rahman. These included Nayeb-e-Ameer and former member of parliament, Professor Mujibur Rahman, as well as the secretary general and former member of parliament Professor Miah Golam Parwar. Also present were assistant secretary general Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafikul Islam Khan, assistant secretary general and former member of parliament Hamidur Rahman Azad, and central executive council member Mobarrak Hossain.
