Dhaka: Bangladesh's newly appointed senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin will look after the team's batting department in the West Indies tour. He will replace David Hemp, who did not travel with the team to the Caribbean Island. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hemp is currently in Bangladesh and is expected to return as High Performance head coach again. He initially joined this position in May 2023 but later transitioned to the role of batting coach for the national team. In addition to Salahuddin's appointment, Bangladesh has also brought in India's Akshay Hiremath as a performance analyst for the tour of the West Indies, replacing Mohsin Sheikh.
