Business Leaders Convene with Industries Adviser Over Sector Challenges.

Dhaka: A delegation comprising business leaders from various chambers and associations, led by the President of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI), Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), met with Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan at the Ministry conference room today. The meeting focused on addressing key challenges facing the industrial sector.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, BCI President Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury highlighted critical issues such as the law and order situation in the industrial belt, labor concerns, and other prevailing problems in the sector. He emphasized the need to identify existing obstacles and devise solutions to facilitate trade, commerce, and industrial growth.

The business leaders presented sector-specific issues and challenges to the Industries Adviser. In response, Adilur Rahman Khan instructed the relevant authorities to provide immediate solutions to certain problems, as stated in a press release.

Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana recomme
nded further discussions on issues related to labor, law and order, banking, the National Board of Revenue (NBR), and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). She suggested that these proposals be channeled through the Ministry of Industries to the appropriate offices for action.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including former FBCCI president Mir Nasir Hossain, BGMEA Administrator M Anwar Hossain, MCCI President Kamran T Rahman, DCCI President Ashraf Ahmed, President of the Leather goods and Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association of Bangladesh Syed Nasim Manzur, Managing Director of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Ltd Debabrata Mukherjee, and Chairman of Uttara Motor Corporation Ltd Motiur Rahman, among others.
