Dhaka: Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk-E-Azam, Bir Protik, has received cheques totaling TK 19,50,000 from several institutions, individuals, and organizations to aid those affected by recent devastating floods. The cheques were presented to him at his office in the Relief and Disaster Ministry at the Bangladesh Secretariat, on behalf of the Chief Adviser (CA) to the interim government, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, among the contributors to the relief fund was the Chattogram University Alumni Association. The adviser expressed gratitude to all individuals, institutions, and organizations that have extended support to the flood-affected people. It is noteworthy that the Disaster Management and Relief Adviser has so far received a total of 234 cheques, pay orders, or bank drafts, amounting to TK 97 crore, 48 lakh nine thousand, and 203, on behalf of the Relief and Welfare Fund of the Chief Adviser.
