Dhaka: Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib emerged undefeated champion in the Sports Bangla FIDE Rapid Chess Competition held at Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Room on Friday, said a press release. Razib won the title by getting seven and a half points from eight games. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, FM Manon Reja Neer became runner-up with seven points. FM Subrota Biswas secured third place, Anata Choudhury finished fourth, and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag completed the top five with six and a half points each. The winners were awarded a cash prize totaling forty-two thousand taka. A total of 116 players participated in the event, which was conducted in an eight-round Swiss-league format. After the conclusion of the games, ASP of Bangladesh Police Md Mahbubur Rahman distributed the prizes among the winners. Md Arifuzzaman Arif, president of Sports Bangla and a member of the Bangladesh Chess Federation, presided over the prize distribution ceremony.
