Govt Sets Sights on Boosting National Food Stock, Says Food Adviser.

Dhaka: Food Adviser Ali Imam Majumdar announced today that the government intends to significantly increase the country's food stock. This declaration was made during a meeting with officials from the Food Ministry, held in the ministry's conference room. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Majumdar began the meeting by honoring the martyrs of the July-August mass upsurge and expressed wishes for the swift recovery of those injured during the events. In his address, he commended the Food Ministry's efforts to ensure food safety and stressed the importance of identifying and overcoming challenges within the food sector to maintain the import process. Majumdar highlighted that the government would extend necessary support and incentives to encourage private companies to participate in food imports. He noted that several agreements have already been established to facilitate further food imports. The meeting was attended by the ministry's secretary, Md Masudul Hasan, along with other senior officials.
