Dhaka: Mobile phone operator Grameenphone (GP) has signed an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) to open bank accounts entirely online through the MyGP app. The collaboration is set to transform the digital banking experience, allowing customers to enjoy the convenience of managing their finances from the palm of their hands, said a GP press release today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the partnership, signed recently at GP House, aims to streamline the account opening process, enhancing convenience and efficiency alongside integrating innovative ICT solutions and services. Dr Asif Naimur Rashid, Chief Business Officer of GP, expressed that by integrating SCB’s banking services within the MyGP app, they strive to provide customers with a fast, secure, and user-friendly experience, simplifying banking processes and empowering them to manage their finances with greater ease and flexibility.
