Dhaka: Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin has expressed Bangladesh's intention to utilize the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with China as a platform to enhance the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership with Beijing. He made this statement during the Pre-departure Reception for the 40th Foreign Service Academy (FSA) Diplomats, an event hosted by the Chinese embassy on Thursday evening. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the foreign secretary emphasized the eagerness of the Bangladesh foreign ministry to fortify exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, particularly focusing on the 'Year of People-to-people Exchange'. The strategic partnership between China and Bangladesh will be commemorated next year with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, highlighting the importance of people-to-people interactions. Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin expressed gratitude towards the Chinese Embassy for facilitating this significant training opportunity for Bangladesh i diplomats. This initiative underscores the commitment to bolstering diplomatic ties through educational exchanges and collaborative efforts. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen remarked on the continued cooperation between the Chinese Embassy and the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This marks the second instance of such a training program for young diplomats, aimed at fostering the development of bilateral relations. Ambassador Yao encouraged the diplomats to embrace their roles as vital contributors to the China-Bangladesh friendship and to capitalize on their 'first mission' to further solidify these ties.
