Fascist Awami League Barred from Holding Rallies, Announces Chief Adviser’s Office.

Dhaka: Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has stated that the Awami League (AL), described as a fascist party, will be prohibited from organizing rallies within the nation. "The Awami League in its current form is a fascist party. There is no way this fascist party will be allowed to hold protests in Bangladesh," Alam declared in a post on his verified Facebook account today. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Alam emphasized that individuals attempting to organize rallies or gatherings under the instructions of Sheikh Hasina, whom he referred to as a mass murderer and dictator, would face the full force of law enforcement agencies. The interim government has expressed a zero-tolerance policy towards any acts of violence or efforts to disrupt law and order in the country. The Awami League has announced a protest procession scheduled to take place at the city's Zero Point at 3 pm tomorrow (Sunday) in observance of Shaheed Nur Hossain Day. In addition, a press release on the AL's Facebook pa ge encouraged its supporters to organize similar events at district and upazila levels.
