Chattogram: A woman died and a total of 39 people have been infected with dengue in Chattogram city and district during the last 24 hours. The 45-year-old woman, Bashabi Archargee, succumbed to dengue while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital after fighting for her life for the last two days. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, among the 39 people infected with dengue in the past 24 hours, 26 individuals have been admitted to the city's government hospitals, while 13 others have been admitted to various private hospitals in Chattogram. Currently, at least 118 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals across the city. The dengue outbreak has claimed a total of 32 lives this year. District Civil Surgeon Dr. Jahangir Alam has advised city dwellers to be cautious about the spread of dengue, urging residents to take necessary precautions to mitigate the risk of further infections.
