Medical Seminar on Robotics and Laparoscopic Surgeries Held at MEDEXPO 2024.

Dhaka: A medical seminar on robotics and laparoscopic surgeries was held today on the sidelines of the ongoing three-day healthcare and medical equipment exhibition, MEDEXPO 2024, at the grand ballroom of Hotel InterContinental Dhaka. The event was organized by Apollo Hospitals Group of India in association with their Bangladesh office, Health Connect, and catered to both doctors and the general public.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seminar was structured into two key sessions focusing on the latest trends in orthopedics and laparoscopic surgeries. During the first session, Dr. Kornad Kosygan, a Senior Consultant of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement, delivered a detailed discussion on Robotics in Joint Replacement and Advances in Orthopedics. This was followed by the second session where Dr. Jameel Akhter, a Senior Consultant of Gastrosurgery from Apollo Hospitals Chennai, provided insights into ‘Recent Advances in Laparoscopic Surgeries’.

Both keynote speakers engaged with attendees through
a question-and-answer session, addressing various queries from the attending doctors and participants. Additionally, they offered free consultations to several patients present at the seminar. MEDEXPO 2024 is set to continue until Friday and will remain open for visitors daily from 10 am to 8 pm.
