Gopalganj: Two locally-made easybike passengers were killed and six others injured in a road accident at Fhukra Bus Stand in Kashiani upazila of the district today. The deceased were identified as Din Islam Khan, 21, son of Ahmed Khan from Mollabari village in Sadar upazila, and his nephew Hussain Molla, 8, son of Masud Molla from Terokhada area of Khulna.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge of Kashiani Highway Police Station, Md Abul Hossain Majmuder, reported that the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus from ‘Rajib Paribahan’ collided with the locally-made easybike in the area. The impact left eight passengers of the easybike injured at the scene.
The injured individuals were promptly transported to Gopalganj General Hospital. Upon arrival, the attending doctors declared two of the injured passengers dead.
