Sardah: Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah today discharged 58 trainee sub-inspectors (SIs) of the 40th cadet batch for ‘breach of discipline.’ ‘They were relieved from their posts on charges of breaching discipline,’ Assistant Inspector General (Media and Public Relations) of Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagar told BSS here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the SIs were undergoing training at the Sarda Police Academy but were found to be engaged in anti-disciplinary activities. The decision to discharge them follows a series of events that began last month when Sarda Police Academy issued show cause notices against 59 trainee SIs for their alleged involvement in such activities.
Out of the 59 cadets who were issued show cause notices, 58 were ultimately relieved from their posts, marking a significant action taken by the academy to uphold discipline and integrity within its ranks.
