Dhaka: Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farjana today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Department of Films and Publications (DFP) Director (film) Khorshed Alam Chowdhury. In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khorshed Alam Chowdhury died at a shooting spot in Munshiganj on Saturday evening at the age of 58. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and a host of relatives and well-wishers. His contributions to the film industry were acknowledged by many, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Khorshed Alam Chowdhury will be buried at Agrabad in Chattogram after Esha prayers today. His passing marks a significant loss to the Department of Films and Publications, where he was known for his dedication and commitment.
