BGB Detains Two Indian Nationals in Cumilla.

Cumilla: The paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained two Indian citizens with some liquor from the Shahpur frontier of Cumilla. The detainees are identified as Md Roni, 21, son of Delwar Hossain, and Md Delwar Hossain, 18, son of Ayub Ali, according to a BGB release signed by its Cumilla Battalion Commander (10 BGB) Lt. Col. Md Iftekhar this evening.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the detainees are inhabitants of Suvapur village under Sonamura police station of Sipahijala district, Tripura, India. They were handed over to the Kotwali Model Police Station in Cumilla, where a legal process is underway in connection with their detention under Section 4 of the Bangladesh Control of Entry Act, 1952, and Section 24 (a) of Table 36 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, as stated by Lt. Col. Md Iftekhar.
