Man Apprehended with Phensidyl and Yaba Tablets in Kurigram.

Kurigram: Joint forces in a drive held a man with 122 bottles of phensidyl and 40 pieces of yaba tablets from Bhurungamari upazila in the district this morning. The detainee was identified as Mohammad Johurul Islam, 40, hailed in Dakhin Shingjar area in the upazila.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge of Bhurungamari Thana Zillur Rahman stated that acting on information, a team of the joint forces conducted a raid at a house in Dakhin Shingjar area. During the operation, Johurul was apprehended with the phensidyl, 35 grams of ganja, and the yaba tablets.

A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act in connection with the incident, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the authorities to combat drug trafficking and misuse in the region.
