A court here today sent three leaders of banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to jail in an attempt to murder case filed with the capital's Shahbagh Police Station. The three accused are BCL Dhaka University's Shamsunnahar Hall unit president Khadiza Akter Urmi, Surja Sen Hall unit organizing secretary Moazzem H Rakib Sarkar and Md Sahil Hossain. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ragib Nur passed the order as police produced the three before the court and pleaded to keep them behind the bars. Detective branch (DB) of police in separate drives arrested the trio from different areas in the capital. Dhaka University (DU) student Md Abu Sayad Bin Mahin Sarkar filed the case against 391 including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina for the brutal attack of BCL cadres on the students in DU campus on July 15.
