A court here today imposed a travel ban on former Comilla-1 lawmaker Major General (retd) Mohammad Shubid Ali Bhuiyan, his wife Mahmuda Akter and son Maj (retd) Muhammad Ali, former Munshiganj- 3 lawmaker Mrinal Kanti Das and his wife Nilima Das over allegations of corruption.
Acting Judge Ibrahim Miah of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court passed the order allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Deputy director Rezaul Karim of the ACC filed the petition, pleading to impose a travel ban on the two former lawmakers and their family members.
