One person was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Boroutan village under Karnaphuli upazila of the district.
The victim was Akbar Hossain, 32, hailed from Sundaripara village under
Karnaphuli upazila of the district.
Md Monirurzaman, Sub Inspector of Karnaphuli Thana, said Akbar came under
attack by a wild elephant while he was returning home from work at 11 pm
last night.
Akbar was rushed to Upazila Health Complex in critical condition where attending doctors declared him death.
