Police early today arrested Habiganj-4 constituency former lawmaker Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman from the city’s Mirpur area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pallabi Police Station Nazrul Islam confirmed the arrest, saying they arrested Sumon from Mirpur area at 1:30am today.
He added that Sumon was arrested for his alleged involvement in the killing of a student during the July-August Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
