Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has said the government would prioritize the development and promotion of the Dhorbarahi Temple.
In an interaction on ‘Religious and Historical Importance of Temple’ organized here by Shuklagandaki municipality of Tanahun here Friday, Minister Pandey said the government was at work to develop important places in terms of religious and cultural tourisms.
Gandaki Province government has also paid attention to the Dhorbarahi Temple as one of the ten destinations in the province, Minister Pandey said, “This year, I will remind Nepal Tourism Board as well to prepare a profile of this place which will help further development.”
Minister Pandey emphasized that the master plan of the Dhorbarahi Temple should be prepared immediately. He also underlined the need for togetherness of the local, province and federal governments for promoting the Temple.
On the occasion, Shankar Bhandari, member of the House of Representatives from Tanahun constit
uency-2, viewed the Dhorbarahi Temple bears historical and religious significance.
Province Assembly member Shyam Raja Mahat, former minister Asha Koirala, central member of Nepali Congress Dhruba Wagle were for necessary infrastructures to develop the temple as a religious and cultural destination.
Likewise, Krishna Raj Pandit, Mayor of Shuklagandaki Municipality, said that they were working hard for the development of this area on behalf of the local government.
