Former Member of Parliament and Chakaria Upazila unit AL President Jafar Alam and 34 others were indicted last night in a attempt to murder case filed with Pekua Thana. District unit General Secretary Salauddin Ahmed was also accused in the case. A BNP activist Abdur Rahim, a resident of Toitong union, filed the case. According to the case, a few Awami League activists attempted to murder him at a vote centre in Toitong Union on December 30, 2018 following the order of Jafar Alam and the General Secretary of Cox's Bazar district unit AL Salauddin Ahmed. Officer-in-Charge of Pekua Thana Mohammad Sirajul Mostofa said four accused in the case were arrested. The detainees were sent to jail. Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
