Rapid Action Battalion in a drive arrested a man with 36 kgs of ganja from Gangni upazila here last night.
The detainee was identified as Rakib, 35, hailed from Lakshmi Narayanpur Dhala village in the upazila, said Commander of RAB-12 and Assistant Police Super Md Enamul Haque at a press conference in Gangni today.
On information, a team of the force conducted a raid at the house of Rakib at Lakshmi Narayanpur village at around 11 pm and arrested him with the ganja, he added.
Rakib was handed over to Gangni police station. A case was filed under Narcotics Control Act in this regard, said Officer-in-Charge of Gangni Thana Tajul Islam.
