Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) last night detained an Indian national for illegally crossing the border through the Bagbhandar frontier in Lalmonirhat.
‘The detainee was identified as Md Mozaffar Hossain, 48, son of Mohammad Ali , inhabitant of village Madarganj under Sahibganj police station of Cooch Behar, India,’ said a BGB press release, signed by Major Mofazzal Hossain, commander of the 15th Battalion of BGB, Lalmonirhat.
A case was filed against him for illegal entrance into Bangladesh, the release added.
