A man was killed in a clash between two rival
groups over land dispute at Babnakandi village in Bahubol upazila of the
district today.
The victim was Wahid Mia, 32, hailed from the village.
Police said the clash took place between the supporters of Arzu Mia and
victim’s brother Abdul Hye while both the groups attacked each other at the
village this morning, leaving Wahid injured.
He was taken to Bahubol Upazila Health Complex in a critical condition where
the duty doctors declared him dead.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under
control, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubal Thana Md Moshiur Rahman confirmed.
