An infant drowned in a pond at Kakoiser
village in Gosairhat upazila of the district today.
The deceased was identified as Ayun, 22 months old, son of expatriate Sagor
Ahmed.
Local people said the infant drowned in the pond close to his house at around
1 pm. He was brought to Gosairhat Upazila Health Complex where the duty
doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Gosairhat Thana Pushpen Debnath confirmed.
