The Madan Bhandari Foundation is going to honour singer Ram Krishna Duwal with the ‘Madan Bhandari Transformation Leadership National Award-2080 BS’.
At a press conference organized here Friday, Foundation’s Chairperson Mahendra Bahadur Pandey shared that the Foundation was going to fete singer Duwal in recognition of his contribution to society for more than five decades.
The Award carries a purse of Rs 100 thousand and it would be distributed to Duwal on the occasion of 25th anniversary of the Foundation, informed Chairperson Pandey.
Singer Duwal has been advocating for the rights of people and advancing the cause of promotion and preservation of cultures in Nepal through his creations, mainly music. His move has played a part on social causes and political movements including the people’s movement 1990, it was informed.
